Reigning Real...One Step (and a prayer) at a time with Carol Van Atta

You know something...God is the ultimate Creator. Just look at the above photo. Wow! Majestic is the best word to describe this scene.
Since God had the power and vision to create our world, shouldn't we trust that He knows the very best route to follow in relation to our relationships? One of the most delightful experiences that God created was sex ... yes, sex!

Now, I'm going to change the pace a bit. I know. I know. It's been days since I've written. Yes, I'm going to claim BUSY, with a capital "B." Today was not any different in that regard, however, it was very special in another way. Let me explain:
Today was a first for my young daughter. Just nine, she is beginning to develop and recently mentioned a bra. I had the honor of accompanying her to choose her first bras. My little girl is only nine, but is extremely tall and growing constantly. So we went for the sport bras and one super comfy basic design. When we arrived home., she tried them on and came out to model. Talk about the most adorable, embarrassed, but somewhat proud look on her face. I wanted to laugh and cry. I didn't realize what a big deal this whole "event" could be. Her older brother happened upon our little fashion show and informed us both we were really weird, shook his head, smirked, and then made a quick exit. Not quick enough for my daughter! Big brothers! Ahhhhhh.... I could read her mind.
Well, a little while later, me, my mom, and son were all in the family room and lol and behold, my Little Missy comes parading into the room, her bra still on, but now hidden beneath her over-sized t-shirt. HOWEVER, what wasn't hidden was the fact that her breasts were now Triple D and I knew her body hadn't somehow had a growth spurt in response to her new underwear.
In hysterics, she revealed her little (Big) secret. She had stuffed her new sports bra with dish towels. Yes, dish towels. I guess kleenex is passe. Anyway, for you moms reading this post (dads, too) we get to experience so many "firsts" as parents. It's vital that we are there for our children's special moments because a first is just that -- a first. The next time will be second. I know I don't want to miss out on any precious milestones.
Let us remember that our children our gifts from God. The Bible even refers to them as rewards. May we let go of our need to be so busy that we miss out on the firsts in our family.
I guess this is the reason I haven't written as much. I've been spending time just being with my kids and in God's presense through His Word. What a blessing it's been. I challenge you to do the same. Spend less time with your computer, just one day a week, and re-discover the special gifts in your family. Who knows? You might just get to go bra shopping!
God bless you and goodnight.
